History:
1966 was the year that Dr. Morton Farber opened his orthopedic surgery practice in Elizabeth, NJ. He provided high-quality orthopedic care along with a genuine neighborly concern for patients’ well being. Dr. Walter Pedowitz became his partner in 1978. Meanwhile, Dr. John Kline had begun his orthopedic practice in Linden, NJ in 1977. In 1981, these two practices combined to create a premier orthopedic practice with comprehensive capabilities.
In 2021, Union County Orthopaedic Group joined forces with 6 other orthopedic practices located throughout New Jersey to create OrthoNJ. Union County Orthopaedic Group is now a division of the largest orthopedic private practice in the state.
Our division’s team is made up physicians that are all board-certified or board-qualified in either orthopedic surgery, physical medicine & rehabilitation, pain management, or podiatry. The entire team continues to follow the same practice philosophy set forth by Dr. Farber over four decades ago: put the patient first by providing honest, focused and compassionate care.
